"She
has painted a lot in the House of her spiritual Master Claude MONET
in Giverny (Eure) where she opened a studio in 1986. Now, she has definitely
settled there.
She appears among the revived impressionists in the shadow of Claude
MONET. She painted, with a stubborn determination, gardens, lakes, the
white water lilies and the bridges of this exceptional Master. Jacqueline
GOUGIS, close to Berthe MORISOT, asserts in her wake a distinguished
art rarefied in beauty, welcoming a scruturising look. All in her work
is fervour with a freshness of ideas in profusion. The pale ans iridescent
painting of Jacqueline GOUGIS threw back a highest elegance.
Fond of "Poetic Reality", her paintings are like idyllic caresses.
Jacqueline GOUGIS took place among the worlwide Collections and Art
Galleries and that shows the bright glamour of her art !"
